The Helping Hounds Of Hell is a charitable art project launched by the Berlin based design studio GROUPE DEJOUR to benefit the Unicef Project SCHULEN FÜR AFRIKA. The campaign has the goal to provide Kids from eleven african countries with the basics of education. UNICEF supports building up class rooms, provides school materials, educates teachers and cares for safe drinking water. The goal is to enable the right to education for every child.
Our Board sponsor TRAP SKATEBOARDS contributed the skateboards, as a blank canvas for more than 40 artists. The hand painted, one of a kind boards will be sold at two exhibitions in Berlin and Hamburg. International artists, street artists and graphic designers will create unique boards for the show including Boris Hoppek, Jim Avignon, Jon Burgerman and Casey McKee. The exhibitions are curated by gallery owner Jörg Heikhaus from heliumcowboy artspace.
On January 21th 2011 the Berlin exhibition will be opened at the Berlin Art Projects Gallery at Unter den Linden 40.
